Rebeckah is mentioned in the will of Benjamin Hockman, written in 1788 in Shenandoah County, VA, as follows:

First I give unto my Beloved wife Barbara all my Estate Real and personal during his natural life and after here decease, it is my will that all my Land whereon I now live shall be sold by my Executor hereinafter mentioned or his survivor at publick Auction, and my Executors as aforesaid it is hereby impowered to make a good Lawfull and Sufficient Title for the same to the purchaser or purchasers, and the Money arising from the sale thereof I give and devise to the three Daughters of my Brother Rudolph Hochman Dec'd (Viz) to Catharine Hockman now the wife of Frederick Dull, Barbara Hockman now the wife of Henry Daring, Elisabeth Hockman now the wife of Henry Fravel, Jr., and Rebeckah Colvel now the wife of Adolph Miller, to be the Divided amongst them as follows (viz) the said Catharine, Barbara and Elisabeth and their Heirs to have Equal Shares only the said Catharine to have Twenty pounds Current Money more than one of the others and the said Rebeckah to have an Equal Share with the said Barbara and Elisabeth, but if the said Rebeckah should die before the Decease of my said Beloved Wife Barbara, Then in that case her share shall not devolve on her Heirs but her Share shall then be Equally divided amongst the other three (viz) the said Catharine, Barbara & Elizabeth of their Heirs, and if any part of my personal Estate shall Remain after my said Beloved wife Barbara's Decease Then I give and devise the same to the said Catharine, Barbara, Elisabeth and Rebeckah and their Heirs to be Equally Divided amongst them.
