Obit from Daily Review, Monmouth, Illionois (via Triplett MyFamily.com site) Wednesday, August 5, 1914: Mrs. Rebecca Krohn died last evening. Dropsy ultimate cause of death - Long a resident of County. Mrs. Rebecca Krohn, a Warren County resident for half a century, passed away shortly after 6 o'clock last evening at her home at 214 No. 1st St. She had been sick since the first of May, her illness developing into dropsy recently. Mrs. Krohn was widely known throughout the County. Rebecca Tripplett was born in Noble Co., Ohio Jan. 31, 1843, and 13 years later came to Warren County, her parents settling near Cameron. On Feb 28, 1864, she was united in marriage to Henry Krohn and shortly afterward the couple moved to a farm near Ponemah, where they resided for a long period. Six children were born to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Krohn, five of whom are living. They are Carrie K. and Lily N. Krohn, at home; Mrs. Thomas Beatty of Willmathsville, Mo.; Mrs. S. M. Moore of Larchland; and H. H. Krohn of Fullerton, Cal. The deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fred Krohn of Roseville and one brother, S. E. Tripplett of Henderson, Iowa. Mr. Krohn died some five years ago adn last fall the widow with her two daughters moved to Monmouth, taking up thier home at 214 No. 1st St. ... The body was taken to Kirkwood Cemetery for interment.
