From Court of Assistants at Hartford, dated 6 Oct 1686: "Whereas: Jonathan jun'r, Rebecca, Mary, Sarah, John and Violet, children of Rebecca Bigelow alias Shepherd, Received judgment against Serg't John Shepherd for one forth part of the estate that he received as administrator of the estate of Thomas Greenhill deceased and award was made to Jonathan jr. and brothers and sisters."
