Jacob and Rebecca divorced in May of 1868, case #3138, Journal Book 27, page 340. The divorce decreed that Rebecca could return to her maiden name and she was awarded $2,000 in alimony. Rebecca and three (3) children, William Arnold, Alonzo Friend, and Etta Friend were living in Tama County, Iowa by 1870. This is where her brother, David, had previously settled.
