_DCAUSE: Carcinoma of the liver

Rebecca was employed as a seamstress and lived with her brother, Washington, and her sister, Julia, in Kingwood. She died of "carcinoma of the liver" and is buried in the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood. (PC Death Records)

She was employed as a domestic servant at the home of William F. Potter in 1860. The Potters lived adjacent to her parent's home in Kingwood.

Rebecca was a member of the Kingwood Methodist Episcopal Church throughout her adult life. She lived at the corner of Court Street and Tunnelton Street in Kingwood. She was received into the church membership on 6/23/1889. (PC Methodist Church records).

Rebecca's will (Book 7, page 156) dated 4/9/1917 relates her home in Kingwood was purchased from Peter Voltz 2/6/1880 (Deed Book 48, page 119) (See scrapbook)
