MONTICELLO - Raymond C. "Ray" Sellers, 85, of 205 E. Fisher St., died at 7:10 a.m. Sunday in his home after an extended illness. He was born Feb. 25, 1901, in Clinton County to John C. and Lydia E. Laughner Sellers. He was married March 8, 1924, to Lola I. Baer, who survives. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of Pike Creek Church of the Brethren and the church dartball team.
Also surviving are a daughter, Marilyn C. Downs, LaPaz; one grandson, one great granddaughter; and several nieces. Two sisters and two brothers preceded in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Pike Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pike Creek Church of the Brethren.
