Dad was a policeman for the City of Poughkeepsie before he went to IBM.I think he was there for about 36 years. He used to get his startingdate with them mixed up with my birthday June 6, I was June 9.

He really enjoyed golf and bowling. My husband Tom used to play golfwith him and would come to say "You would never believe what your fathersaid" then proceed to tell me most of it. Of course "MY FATHER" wouldnever say things like that.

Dad always wanted to be sure I had the best and usually first ofeverything. I had a wooden (adult) tennis racket when I was 5. I hadkangeroo shoes (shoes with springs) he also brought me home, from a trip,the first ball bearing roller skates in the area. teh weren't even beingsold down here.

When I was little (about 3-4) He and Mom bought a retired carousel housefrom a merry-go-round and put it in the yard for the kids to play with.He built me a go-cart when they were the rage. He even built a sulky forthe lawn mower, so I could ride around and even sometimes mow the lawn.

As you can see I was definately, Daddy's little girl.
