    Raymond Bert Davis, 89, of Amsterdam Rd., Kilgore, died February 14 in Timken Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Loudon Township, he was a son of the late George and Minnie (Slates) Davis. He was a retired carpenter and a 70 year member of Kilgore United Methodist Church.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Janey) Smith of Kilgore, and a grandson. A brother and sister are deceased. Services were held Saturday in the Kilgore United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Cetorelli officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery, Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton handled arrangement.
