CARHART, RAY "HOSS"

RAVENA -- Ray "Hoss" Carhart, 83, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 19, 2006. He was born in Coeymans on June 26, 1923 to the late Ray and Mina Carhart. As a young boy, Ray worked for Frangella Mushroom Co., later working for Powell Minnock Brickyard for 27 years and, in 1986, he retired as assistant highway superintendent for the Town of Coeymans. Survivors include his wife Gladys; children, Patty Veradi and Skip (Evelyn) Carhart; grandson, Justin Carhart; stepchildren, Suzanne (Steve) Lambert, Dianne (Kevin) Patterson and Bill (Laura) Dunn; step-grandchildren, Will Dunn, Laura Lambert and Kyle Patterson; siblings, Rita Perrine, Betty (David) Irwin, Jean (Joe) Whitehouse and Ruth (Dallas) Ivester; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Wright and Evelyn Schultz; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. If you needed a favor, you just called Ray and he was there. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ray may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Coeymans Hollow, NY 12046 or the Ravena Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 144, Ravena, NY 12143.
