His obit states, "Ralph Charles Odell, third son of Marcie & Lona Odell was born in Wheatfield Twp. Aug 11 1907 & passed away at his father's home Aug 13, 1931 at age of 24yr 2da. His entire life was spent in and around Williamston. At very early age he lost his mother , but his sunny disposition has helped him over many a rough road, and made for him devoted friends, who will mourn his untimely departure. Only a few short days ago he was taken ill, but all that loving hands & medical skill could do was to no avail. He had left us a vacant chair that no one else can fill. We cannot wish him back to suffer, but our hearts are sad and we are left alone to mourn our loss. Surviving are a father, Marcie Odell, a brother, John both of Williamston, and a sister, Mrs. Lona Allore of Detroit. Funeral services were held at Gorsline Bros Sat Aug 15, 1931 at 2pm. Rev.Reese officiating. Interment at Dennis Cemetery.
