Obit in the book 'Wheatfield Gleamings': Lona M. Cummings wife of Marcie Odell, passed away December 3, 1911, at the age of 32yrs and 18days. Mrs. Odell was born Nov 16 1879 in Wheatfield where she resided all her life. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, four chldren, John, Cloyse, Ralph and a baby Lona, not quite a year old, two sisters, Misses Fannie and Jessie Cummings, and two brothers, Carl Cummings and W.A.Sparling, together with other relatives and a host of friends. She was a true and faithful wife, a loving mother and a friend always ready and willing to help in time of need. Funeral services were held at the home last Tuesday afternoon, Rev. G.S. Northrup officiating.
