Rafael's parents are recorded as Jose Pico and Ecolastica Pomar. Rafaela's parents are recorded as Federico Matos and Isabel Tudela. Witnesses were Jose Pico and Jose Ramon Ortiz. The record states Rafael was from Mayorca, Spain, and Rafaela was from the capital of this island, or San Juan.
