!See baptismal record of grand son ,Francisco Clemente Pico Matos (son of Rafael Pico and Rafaela Matos), of Isabel C________, wife of Federico Matos. Her grandson, Francisco, was born on 23 November, 1871. Based on this date, it is calculated that Rafael and Rafaela were probably married about a year before this. Rafaela's age would probably have been about 20 years old at time of marriage, thus, her birth date would be about 1850. This was Isabel's first marriage based on the fact that it was her husband's first marriage, which the Jose Felix Matos Bernier biography says it was, but it does not name the wife. Therefore, it is assumed that she was about 20 years old when she was married to Federico, putting her birth date at about 1830. Her husband's birth is in 1829, putting them at about the same age.
