Morrow, Georgia was named for this man.
“Radford E. Morrow owned a plantation of more than 1,000 acres with a large, two-story, 12-room mansion. His home stood regally on what is now the corner of Morrow Road and Highway 54, the very spot where the municipal complex bearing his name stands today. He also owned a mill on what is now Lake Harbin Road and a tannery in Jonesboro. The tannery produced leather goods for the Confederacy during the Civil War. Morrow's home was burned by Union forces in Sherman's "March to the Sea.".” [1] [2].
He attended the Georgia Secession Convention in Jan. 1861, and voted against secession.
