Uncertain Lineage

She was the daughter of Sarah (Yard) (Wright) Province*, and old enough to have had more than one child by 1796. It is assumed she was Sarah's daughter from her first marriage.

* Sarah's will distinguished between her children and her step-children, and Sarah called Rachel's children her grandchildren, so it is assumed Mary was Sarah's daughter, not step-daughter.
