Rachel married John Harding Rev. son of Thomas Harding on 8 Feb 1814 in , Green Co., KY. John was born on 16 Jan 1785. He died on 11 Nov 1854 in Greensburg, Green Co., KY. He was buried in Campbellsville, Green Co., KY, Pitman Cemetery.

"John was pastor of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church in Green County for 20 years. He lived the last ten years of his life with his brother Aaron. His will, dated 7 Nov 1854 and proved 4 Dec 1854 in Green County, KY, left a legacy to his brothers Pain (Payne) Harding and Aaron Harding; to the children of his sister who married Hezekiah Pruyear; to the 'children of my sister Sallie Carlisle, deceased, who married John Carlile' John also left bequests to his deceased wife's sisters, Jemima Wright, Elizabeth Wright, and Polly Harding, wife of James Harding; and to Henry McDonald. Rev. John requested burial at the old Pitman Meeting House, near Campbellsville beside his wife and child."
