42. John P. Carlyle (James P. , James Jr. , James Sr. ).

"13 Feb 1826, John P. purchased land from his father: $300. 102 1/2 acres on Pitmans Creek. Corner to Roland Mardis. Isaac Hollands line. Line of John Harding, Near Smiths shop, on the bank of the Middle fork. Signed James Carlile (Green Co. KY Deeds, Bk 12, pg. 36).

John also purchased town lots in Campbellsville: 12 Jan 1828, James Campbell to John P. Carlile. 99 dollars, 6 l/4 cents. Two lots of Ground in the town of Campbellsville in Green County on the Buckhorn "for of (sic, on) Pitmans Creek, known in the plan of said Town as Lots 70 & 71." Signed James Campbell, Green Deeds, Bk 14, pg 282." Witnesses included Adam & David Campbell.

John married Sarah "Sallie" (Carlyle) Harding daughter of Thomas Harding on 22 Dec 1814 in , Green Co., KY. Sarah died before 7 Nov 1854.

John's will, as my sister Sallie Carlisle, deceased". Her marriage to John P. Carlile was performed by her brother, Rev. John Harding.
