    Prudence Thayer Stocking, 84, died in Lentsville, N.Y. May 11, 1895 and is buried in Lot #584.

  4.   Obituary for Prudence Thayer Stocking, in The Freeman Journal at Cooperstown, N.Y.
    May 16, 1895.

    Mrs. Stocking - relict of the late Otis stocking, of Cooperstown died on the 10th d inst. at the home of her son-in-law William Wicks, at Lentsville age 84 years. Of a family of thirteen children, eight survive her. She was prostrated by a stroke of paralysis Thursday. Her last days have been cheered by her daughter Mrs. Wicks, with she had lived recently.

  5.   Prudence is listed as one of William Thayer's three daughters who arrived with him to Otsego County prior to 1819. This according to "Biographical Review of Otsego County" page 309.
  6.   Prudence Thayer is a 6th generation Mayflower descendant of both John Alden & Priscilla Mullins and is identified as #20065 in Alden Kindred - Eight Generations.
    All of her descendants would also be considered Mayflower descendants of both.
  7.   Prudence Thayer is a 7th generation Mayflower descendant of Thomas Rogers based on the fact her mother Mary "Polly" Stephens is a 6th generation descendant of Thomas Rogers. All of her descendants would also be considered descendants of Thomas Rogers.
  8.   Prudence Thayer is a descendant of the Thayer family of Thornbury, Glouestershire, England.
