Given that Prudence apparently had at least 2 Stanberry children prior to her marriage to Daniel Jackson, it is possible that she was the widow of a Stanberry, rather than born a Stanberry, and that David Stanberry (party to her marriage bond to Daniel Jackson) was her brother-in-law rather than her brother.

Source Book, pg 428 lists Prudence's siblings and their spouses: John Harrison Stanberry m Ann Ernest David Stanberry m Rachel Holman Nathan Stanberry m Polly Allen Moses Stanberry m Mary Elizabeth Snyder (Moses witnessed Daniel's will in Henry Co., IN in 1823.) Elizabeth Stanberry m William McHargue

Bondsman for Prudence and Daniel's marriage was David Stanberry.
