NOTE: The identification of Prince Snow as a son of James Snow and Elizabeth Johnson is TENTATIVE, and requires further documentation.

The reason for the tentative identification is Prince's presence in the household of Ephraim Tucker in the 1850 Census.S1 In 1839, James and Elizabeth Snow sold land in Shelby to Ephraim Tucker, land they had purchased from Elizabeth's sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Joseph Reese a year earlier, documenting a known association between the Snows and Tucker. As well, Tucker was a long-standing member of the Baptist community in Shelby County to which Elizabeth's sisters Nancy and Catherine belonged. Another member of Ephraim Tucker's 1850 household was Joseph Roe, a son of Elizabeth's sister Catherine, and therefore potential cousin to Prince Snow.
