Pleasant has on the farm, two horses, four milk cows, two working oxen, twenty sheep, and thirty five swine. His livestock is valued at $450. For the twelve months prior to the census he farmed 400 bushels of indian corn, 40 bales of ginned cotton (400 lbs each), 300 pounds of sweet potatoes, 100 pounds of honey, and 30 pounds of beeswax. They also farmed rye, wheat, irish potatoes, and peas and beans. The population of the county was 14,320 of which 45% were slaves.
