2015-there seems to be some confusion re: the birth date. FindAGrave photo of the headstone shows Jan 1861; some researchers have made it be 1 Jan 1861, however, there is no 1 on the headstone. The 1870 census taken in Jul shows age 10 which could be b Jan 1860.The 1880 census is taken in Jun and shows 19, if b in Jan 1860 this should be 20; age 19 could be correct if b Jan 1861 as the headstone shows. The reason I am nitpicking about the birth date is there is some question if Pleasant Virginia and her brother, Charles L, are twins. His headstone clearly shows a birth of 3 Jan 1861; the 1870 census shows age 8 (two years younger than Pleasant); the 1880 census again shows him to be two yrs younger - age 17.....
