SPRINGFIELD - Phyllis Marie Davidson Lauchner, 90, of Springfield died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at St. John's Hospital.
She was born Dec. 24, 1911, in Springfield, the daughter of Jesse B. and Mayme E. McDonald Davidson. She married Aden H. Lauchner in 1931; he died in 1990.
Mrs. Lauchner graduated from Springfield High School in 1929 and Illinois Business College in 1930. She worked at Franklin Life Insurance Co. and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service before retirement.
She was a member of the Bahai faith and Springfield Spiritual Assembly since 1943, serving as chairman from 1944-56. She attended the dedication of the Bahai's House of Worship in Wilmette in 1953.
She was a member of Springfield Woman's Club, Springfield Ceramics and Craft Club, where she served in several officer positions, Tagathon Club, DAR, where she served as treasurer, and King's Daughters Circle.
Survivors: a son, Aden Jesse (wife, Mary Lou) Lauchner of Springfield; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
