↑ Apparently Barbour or his correspondent mistranscribed the birth record. The parents did not marry until 1664 and the 1669 birth date is consistent both with the dates of births of Phebe's siblings and the date of her marriage to Thomas Beach. We can be reasonably certain that Jacobus consulted the original record.
