    John Smith's will was written on 23 December 1788 with a codicil added on 6 May 1796 leaving sons: John Smith, Jr., William Smith, Rees Smith, Moses Smith and daughter Phoebe Fry (wife of John Fry) lands at Turkey Spring on Opequon Creek.
