    Phineas Gardner Wright
A wealthy eccentric who died one of the oldest members of the community, by his death he had amassed a fortune of $125,000. Not wanting anyone locally to know how much, he had kept his money in a bank in Boston. He rode in a wagon to the city to do his banking, a ride today that takes over an hour by car. He was famous for having erected the monument at Grove Street Cemetery before his death for a sum of $1500. The inscription reads, 'Going But Know Not Where.'
