PARMENTER, Phineas, s. Amos and Mary, [born] May 6, 1775. At Framingham. DR
[DR=death record, but record cited is not consistent with a birth in May unless it said January instead of June. This suggests either the compilers misread it when they compiled the VRs, or the town clerk misread the original when they copied it over for the state. But, a birth in May 1775 should result in an age of 75 on 1 Oct 1850 when the 1850 census was taken, not the 74 actually seen, which is, however, consistent with a birth in Oct 1775. The age of 72 at marriage in 1849 is not correct with either one, being one too few for an Oct birth, two too few for a May birth. No gravestone is found to check if the death date is January or June. The index to Worcester probate doesn't seem to list any probate for Phineas.]
