In the name of God, Amen. the first day of September int he year of our Lord God, 1715. I Philip Swancott of the parish of Llanidloes in the County of Montgomery, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body, but of a perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye, do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament: that is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it, and for my body, I commend it to the earth, to be buried in a Christian-like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named, with my doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God: And as touching such worldy Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to blesse me in this life, I give, devise, and dispose of the same in the following manner [or] form.

Imprimis. I will that all my debts and funeral expences be paid.

Item I give and bequeath to Mary, my eldest daughter the full and entire sum of Seventy pounds of lawfull money of Great Brittaine to be paid her when she comes to the age of twenty and eight years, provided she shall be married with the consent and approbation of her mother and brother. But in case she shall be married without the approbation and consent of her mother and brother, I give her one shilling, and no more. And my will is that the said sum of seventy pounds shall be equally divided between my other three daughters. And in case my said daughter Mary shall dye, before she comes to the age of twenty and eight years, the said sum of seventy pounds shall be equally divided between my daughters.

Item I give to Bridgett my second Daughter the full sum of seventy pounds of lawful money of Great Brittaine to be paid her when she comes to the age of twenty and eight years, provided she shall be married with the Consent and approbation of her mother and brother. But in case she shall be married without the consent and approbation of her mother and brother, I give her one shilling, and no more. And my will is that the said sum of seventy pounds shall be equally divided between such of my daughters, as shall be married with the consent of their mother and brother. And in case my said Daughter Bridgett shall dye, before she comes to the age of twenty and eight years, the said sum of Seventy pounds shall be equally divided between such of my daughters, as shall be married with consent of their mother and brother.

Item I give and bequeath to my third daughter Elizabeth the sum of seventy pounds of lawful money of Great Brittaine to be paid her when she comes to the age of twenty and eight years, provided she shall be married with the consent and approbation of her mother and brother -- But in case she shall be married without the consent and approbation of her mother and brother, I give her one shilling and no more. and my will is that the said sum of seventy pounds shall be equally divided between such of my daughters as shall be married with the consent of their mother and brother-- But in case my daughter Elizabeth shall dye, before she comes to the age of twenty and eight years, the said sum of seventy pounds shall be equally divided, between my Daughters, under the restriction already mentioned.

And whereas, my son Richard has promised to give to my four Daughter, Anne, the sum of fifty pounds, I refer her to the consideration of my wife for an addition to the said fify pounds; I therefore give to my said Daughter Anne the sum of twenty shillings.

Item I hereby do name and apoint my beloved wife Eliza[...page torn] & my son Richard, Executors of this my last Will & Testam[...page torn] And I do hereby make void and disannull all and every former Testaments, Will and Legacies, Requests and Execut[... page torn] me in any ways before this time named, will'd & bequeathd, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will & Testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day & year above written.
