    In the name of God, Amen, I Jonathan Swancott of Cwm yr onn in the parish of Llangirrig & County of Mountgomery being weak in body but of sound & perfect mind & memory (praise be given to Almighty God) Do make this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following, That is to say, First I commend my soul to Almighty God in hopes of a full & perfect remission of all my sins thro the merits of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ, And my body to the Grave to be decently bury’d at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter nam’d, & as touching what Estate it hath pleas’d God to endow me with, I give & dispose thereof as followeth

    Imprimis  I will that my debts & funeral Expences be paid & discharg’d

    Item. I give & bequeath unto Bridgert the daughter of my brother William Swanncot the sum of three pounds to be paid her by my Executrix within one year next after my decease

    Item. I give unto Jonathan the son of my Brother in law John Humphreys the sum of one pound & ten shillings to be paid him as aforesaid -

    Item I give unto Samuel the son of Samuel Brees of Tylwch one Ewe & Lamb  --- The rest & residue of my goods Cattle & Chattels moveable & immoveable whatsoever I give devise & bequeath unto Jane my loving wife: And I do hereby constitute & appoint Jane my said wife to be sole Executrix of this my Last Will & Testament revoking all former Wills be me heretofore made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord 1729
