The village of Finkenbach-Gersweiler is about one mile north of WALDGREHWEILER, where many of the early Tuscarawas County, Ohio and Wabash County, Indiana pioneers originated. This area was in the Palatinate, which at the time of the pioneer's migration, was no longer independent. The Palatinate was split mostly between the Kingdom of Bavaria, and the Kingdom of Prussia.
