Person:Persis Welch (1)

Persis Welch was born 22 Mar 1749^[1], the daughter of Paul Welch and Betty Unknown. Their first child, Betsey was born about 1775 so they probably married abut 1773/4. It is probable that Persis Welch Ross died 02 Feb 1816, as the Jaffrey town records lists a married Ross female as dying on that date. She is also listd as "Mrs. Ross" in Rev. Ainsworth death records. Abraham Ross is found living with his son, John Ross, on the 1820 U S Census - most likely because his wife had died. Presently, it is not known where Persis and Abraham Ross are buried. Some of their children are buried in the Phillip-Heil Cemetery in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.
