Census information is prone to mistakes, and I assume a few are madein this instance. I'm willing to bet that this is our Perry and Maud,and Maud is not 35, but instead is 25 years old. Nor was her mother,Hester Ann Logan, born in Iowa, but rather she was born in Indiana. Infact, Maud may not of known where she herself was born, given that hermother died when she was about six years old and her father appears tobe absent. Like her mother, Maud may also have been born in Indiana.The 1860 census for Kosciusko County, Indiana, indicates Maud was bornin Indiana, William Paulin was born in Ohio, and Hester Ann Logan wasborn in Indiana.
