from Jim Logan: "there was a Petition To Appoint Guardian filed inPlymouth County, Iowa, in which J. W. Paulin was appointed guardian ofMaud Paulin, and on October 9, 1915, a Final Order And Discharge wasissued. This is probably John W. Paulin, Maud's uncle. Unfortunatelythere was no more information provided on the file I saw. I'll have towrite the Plymouth County Courthouse and try to obtain a copy of thepetition. Perhaps it might reveal where Maud's father, William, mighthave been. By the time John was appointed Maud's guardian, Maud'smother, Hester Logan, had been dead for about 13 years. According tothe 1900 Census, Indiana, Kosciusko Co., Harrison Twp, ED 49, Sheet 6A,Maud was born January of 1895. So Maud would have been 19 years oldwhen John was appointed her guardian, and she would have been 20 yearsand 9 months when John was discharged as her guardian"
