link COLLIN1 CABOT, born about 1470. In 1515 Collin1 Cabot of Trinity Parish was one of the witnesses in an inquisition held at St. Helier’s by a commission sent to the Island of Jersey by Henry VIII. (Chancery, Miscellaneous Rolls No. 397, Public Record Office, London.) The mother of Collin1 Cabot was daughter of Guillotine Nicolle, sister and co-heir of Jaquette Nicolle, wife of Jean Grassier. PERRIN2 CABOT (Collin1) was born between 1490 and 1500. On 19 Oct. 1542 certain of the principal gentlemen of each parish were appointed to assist and give advice regarding the safety of the Island of Jersey.
