PERLEY THOMAS "TOM" MOORE Perley Thomas "Tom" Moore, 88, of Westerville, formerly of Marysville and Delaware, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. A retired deliveryman with the Diamond Milk Company in Marysville, he was a member of Springdale Baptist Church in Marysville and the Ohio National Guard. He received numerous awards and recognitions for his participation with the American Heart Association's Walk-A-Thon in the Marysville area and volunteering with Mobile Meals and recycling programs. He was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital of Union County from 1983 to 1996 with 5,342 hours. He was a graduate of Delaware Willis High School. He was born May 21, 1915, in Carey to the late Perley T. and Muriel Shaw Moore and was predeceased by his wife, Nora Beck Moore; his former wife, Ruby Moore McBride; a brother, Kenneth Moore; two sisters, Georgia Pinyerd and Virginia Sheets; and two sons, Wayne and Max Moore. He is survived by six sons, Marvin (Janet) Moore of Martinsburg, W.Va., Kenneth (Jeanine) Moore of Pickerington, Rodney (Donna) Moore of Delaware, Gary Moore of Hilliard, Wendell (Dillis) Moore of New Castle, Ind., and Steven (Diana) Moore of Columbus; a daughter, Marsha Baker of New Castle, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Judy Cruse, Roberta Mills and Etta Beck; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven R. Waltman will officiate and burial will be at a later date following cremation. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 182039, Dept. 013, Columbus, OH 43218.
