Services for Mrs. Pauline Bauch Held at Geneseo

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Bauch, who died suddenly in Chicago, Ill., December 22, were held from St. Martin's church in Geneseo Wednesday morning. Mrs. Bauch had made her home with her daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Slabik and Mrs. Frances Staehnke. At the time of her death she was taking Christmas presents to the home of her son, John, also in Chicago. She had apparently been in good health up to the time of her passing. Born in Poland Feb. 9, 1871 Mrs. Bauch came to this country with her parents when 1 year old, settling in North Creek, Wis. She was married to George Bauch November 26, 1899. Mr. and Mrs. Bauch then come to Geneseo to make their home, rearing and educating their family in that community. Mr. Bauch passed away in 1929, and Mrs. Bauch went to Chicago 10 years ago--half a century after moving to make her home with her daughters. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Slabik, Mrs. Staehnke, Mrs. Marcy Theush of Geneseo, Mrs. Lent [Lena] Pampuch and Mrs. Barabara Pampuch of Independence, Wis., two sons, John of Chicago and Lawrence of Geneseo; and one sister, Mrs. Julia Klimek of Independence. Here for the funeral were Mrs. Slabik, Mrs. Staehnke, Mrs. Romell Novak and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Povlitzki all of Chicago; Mrs. Barbara Pampuch, Mrs. Lena Pampuch and Mrs. Bernelle Phillips, all of Independence, Wis. The Rev. T. A. Kupka was officiant at the services at St. Martin's church, held yesterday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment was in St. Martin's cemetery. Pallbearers were Andrew Bauch, Peter Bauch, Ray Suchla, John P. Kaczynski, Louis Schivek and Ed Wisnewski. Walby Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
