Paul B. REED - owned and operated a garment manufacturing plant, during the war years. The plant supplied coats to the ARMY during WW II. I used to wear a WW II nurses jacket to school.

Grand-dad, as he was called, would sit in an overstuffed chair at The River, and watch us play on the floor. He never said much, but he loved to watch us play.

He owned a summer cottage on the Milwaukee River, with the river cutting thru the property. There was a suspension bridge that crossed the river, with a path leading to three trout ponds. The property, just north of Newburg, Wisconsin, has been sold to somebody else. I hear that they will let members of the family come down and look around...

Paul B. (Browning) REED died some time around 1970... I wasn't in fifth grade yet...
