1. Paul Angelo Gilcrest; Born February 3rd, 1875, in Marshall County, Illinois. Educated at common schools and High School, Centerville, Iowa, and one year in Eureka College. Learned banking business at Centerville, Iowa. Joined the 50th Iowa Regiment in the Cuban campaign. Was Lieutenant in New York National Guards, later. Worked in railroad auditing office from Delaware, Lackawanna and Western for several years, at Buffalo, New York. With Haskens & Sells, Public Accountants, Chicago for several years. Then with Deere & Co., Moline, Illinois, as auditor of factories, and with Moline Plow Company as Comptroller. Now 1924, assistant manager of Hawkins & Sells, Chicago office. Married Margaret Lay, April 12th, 1924, at Evanston, Illinois."
