    'Sept. 26. Paul Abel, born Jan. 25, 1731, in Anweil in New Jersey, married 1753 his surviving widow and had one son and 4 daughters with her, of whom one daughter is dead. Died of a fever on Sept. 25, his age 42 years, 8 months.'

  4.   Evidence that the Paul Abel who died in Maryland in 1773 was the same Paul Abel who was the son of Andreas and Maria Abel of New Jersey:
    1.Paul's death record says he was born in Anweil, New Jersey (undoubtedly meant to be Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey).
    2.Both Paul's married a woman named "Leany Unknown"
    3.The son of Andreas and Maria appears to have left New Jersey (no record of his death or family there).
    4.The Maryland Paul Abel shows up in Frederick at the right age to be the son of Andreas and Maria.
    5.They were both German
