    He enlisted as private in Co D, 12th GA Vol Infantry in 1862.
    Was captured at Front Royal, VA 30 May 1862 and was exchanged at Aiken's Landing, VA 5 Aug 1862.
    He was captured at Spottsylvania Court House, VA on 10 May 1864, and was imprisoned in Elmira, NY POW camp.
    He was released 30 June of 1865.
    He walked home to GA, subsisting as best as he could.
