Will and Probate

Patrick died 26 Oct 1898 in Whitehall. His son Patrick refused to be the Executor and son George had already died, so William D. Springer (the administrator of George's estate) was appointed Executor.

As of 12 Nov 1906, it was unknown where William Riley or Maggie Riley were and Patrick's widow Ellen was deceased. (Is it possible that the Maggie Kennedy, Grand Rapids, who signed the cemetery receipt actually Maggie Riley?)

Patrick's will was recorded 12 Nov 1906 after the probate on 17 July 1905. According to the record in the Register of Deeds, he gave to George the West half of the Northwest quarter of Section 13 Township 12N Range 17W (Montague & Whitehall) and also the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of the same section, township and range.
