Niagara Falls Gazette, 29 Apr 1962: RITES SLATED FOR DUREZ FIRM WORKER North Tonawanda-- Funeral services for Patrick J. Murphy, 25, of 29 Tarkington Court, Town of Tonawanda, will be held Tuesday. Mr. Murphy died Friday (April 27, 1962) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. A native of Buffalo, he resided in the Tonawandas for the last 15 years. For the last six years he was employed by the Durez Plastic Co. Surviving are his widow, the former Rhonda C. Misner; two sons, Patrick J. and Jack Murphy; a daughter, Susan Murphy; his mother, Mrs. Mamie Murphy, all of this city; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Joseph, Niagara Falls; a brother, Michael Murphy, this city; a half brother, Donald Durgee, Washington DC; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Kaufman, Syracuse and Mrs. Emily Wilson, this city. Prayers will be said at the Hamp Funeral Home... Tuesday and the Requiem Mass will be celebrated... at Ascension Church. Rev. Francis J. Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
