    "Patrick McCorkell, a resident of the township of Mara for over forty years, died at his home, lot 10, concession 7, at the ripe age of 82 years. Deceased was a native of County Donegal, Ireland, and came to Canada in 1847, settling in Mara in 1860. He was well known throughout the township...his son John at one time holding the position of Reeve of this township ... funeral took place on Tuesday to the R. C. Cem. at Brechin.
