Timothy Heffernan Timothy Heffernan belonged to a large family that moved to Upper Nichol from Eramosa Township. Other members of the Heffernan family, which had originally emigrated from Ireland were Maurice; John; Patrick; Daniel; William; Mary, who married Sam Holland and Ellen, who married James Porter. Timothy Heffernan appears to have been the only one of the family who remained on the farm.
