Her father's name was Christopher. Patience married Richard Otis on Dec. 6, 1773 in Preston, Connecticut. Her mother was Prudence Randall Weakly.

Patience Geer did not marry Elijah Harris. The records of Preston, CT only show Elijah as the "reputed father" of her child, Elijah Harris.

Patience married Richard Otis in 1773 and moved with him 1) to Argyle, Washington Co, NY, then to Warrensburg, Warren Co, NY. Finally they settled in Admas, Jefferson Co, PA where Patience, Richard Otis, and Elijah are buried in the Honeyville Baptist Church cemetery. Patience Geer Otis died in 1826. Richard Otis died in 1824.
