Bought the Thiemann farm in the 1940's, located 3 1/2 miles north of Deshler, Nebraska. He is buried as Otto Thiemann.

He may be the "Carl Otto Thieman of Kiowa" who registered for the WWI draft in Thayer County, Nebraska on 5 Jun 1917. Son Walter Thieman also refers to him as Carl Otto, so this may have been the preferred name order.
