1880 Federal Census, LIberty Township, Shelby County, Indiana, Page 20 -- Otto Lindner, age 27 and his wife Elizabeth 19. Otto was a shoemaker. They had been married during the last year. Otto was born in Barien and Elizabeth in Indiana. All four parents of Otto and Elizabeth were born in Bairen, Germany. --- 1890 -- still looking 1900 Census, Otto lived in Adams, Decatur County, Indiana with his wife Lizzie, children Mary age 16 and Rose A (or Rosa) age 14. The children were born in Indiana. Lissie, Otto's mother also lived with them, she was 72 years of age and born in Sept 1827 in Germany. He states in immigrated to the US in 1872 and had been in the United States for 28 years. He was a shoemaker.
