    Oscar Rhoades, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rhoades, was born in Bayley, July 8, 1894 and departed from this life at Higgins Memorial Hospital, Olean, N.Y., Monday morning, Feb. 22, 1937 at the age of 52 years, 7 months, and 14 days. His deaqth was caused by Bright's disease and kidney stones.
    He had been working in the Bradford oil fields and returned home the Wednesday preceding his death.
    He was married to Daisy Hunter at Cooper, Iowa, Nov. 25, 1908. Two sons and a daughter were born to this union and the wife and children and one brother, Clyde Rhoades of Anaheim, Calif., survive, besides numerous relatives and friends.
    He was a member of the Presbyterian Stone Church of Bergen, N.Y.
    Funeral services were held at the Ceres M.E. Church at 2 pm, Feb. 24, with the pastor, A. J. Bailey officiating. Interment was in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery at King's Run [Pennsylvania].
