Oscar Ickes N BALTIMORE -- Funeral services for Oscar S Ickes, 73, of 12046 Shannon Dr ive, Lakeview, and formerly of N Baltimore, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursd ay at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, N Baltimore, the Rev. Paul Eichar officia ting. Burial will be in Weaver CemeteryWood CO. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral hom e. Mr. Ickes died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at his residence. He was born March 11, 1928, in Wichita, Kan. to Oscar H and Geraldine (Coo ley) Ickes. He married Freda M Herr on May 9, 1945, and she died May 2, 19 88. Surviving are three sons, Jerry S of Bairdstown; James F of Arlington; a nd John L of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Robert S (Judy A) Noel Sr, Arca dia; and Jean K Fraley, Fostoria; 29 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildre n; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Alfred of Fostoria; a sister, Mar ie Greeno, N Baltimore; and companion Betty Dobbins, Lakeview. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert. Mr. Ickes retired as a security guard for Honda in St. Marys.
