THE PARIS NEWS Thu., Sep. 10, 1987. 'Oscar Needham Hignight, 956-6th SE, died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, Sep. 9. Services will be held Friday, Sep. 11, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Cox officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Hignight was born March 10, 1924, in Lamar County, a son of Virgil Hignight and Linnie Carman Hignight. He attended Emberson schools. He worked for Ideal Baking Co. for 22 years until retiring in 1979. Surviving are five sons, Charles Hignight of Paris, Jimmy Hignight of Denison, Nicky Hignight of Paris, Stephen Hignight of Paris and Mike Hignight of Paris; eight grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Carl Bowden of Paris, Virgie Germain of Fort Worth, Mrs. Earl Bowden of Paris, Imogene Jones of Paris, Mrs. Eugene Hill of Fort Worth, Mrs. Lloyd Asher of Tom, OK and Gertrude Smith of Paris; and one brother, Buddy F. Hignight of Tigertown.'
